The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will meet for the third time today to determine the pay rise of millions. While inflation is of critical importance in the hike to be made, there is talk of a 40 to 50 percent increase in the lobby. If the increase is 40 percent, the minimum wage will rise to 7 thousand 700 TL, if a 45 percent increase is made, it will be 7 thousand 975 TL, and if it is 50 percent, it will increase to 8 thousand 250 TL.

TWICE HIGH IN 2022
Last year, the minimum wage increased by 50 percent to 4,253 liras. However, due to the rise in inflation, an interim increase was made in July. With a 30 percent increase in July, the minimum wage rose to 5,500 TL. Thus, the cumulative increase in the minimum wage in 2022 exceeded 90 percent.
